Antenatal Courses

Confident Birthing offers a 2-day Antenatal Course currently taught by both Karen and Lisa.

• Informal learning about pregnancy, labour and birth
• Birth partner skills and support
• Labour massage, breathing & relaxation
• Opportunity to meet other pregnant people
• Encouragement to confidently approach your birth

An overview of pregnancy The physiological process of labour and birth The purpose of hormones The role of birth partners Pain and natural pain relief Movement, positions and breathing skills Massage and relaxation techniques	Induction and monitoring during labour Medical pain relief and interventions Creating your birth preferences Your newborn baby - what to expect Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding Early days as a family How to be supported

Course Times:

The course is held on two Sundays per month from 10am until 4pm. Please contact us for forthcoming dates.

Course Venues:

Courses are held in the Reading area including: Tilehurst, Calcot, Theale, Pangbourne, Goring, Henley, Marlow and Caversham.

Course Cost:

The cost of the 12-hour course for you and your birth partner is £175.00. This includes a comprehensive course handbook and refreshments throughout the course.
