Comments from clients:
“The Lamaze classes are amazing!  We never looked at NCT so can’t comment on the difference, but Dan and I would recommend Lisa & Karen 100%.  It gave us both so much confidence and I’m totally all for the approach.  Even though I had to have a C-section, I still felt in control and Dan was so confident as well.  I really can’t speak highly enough about the Lamaze approach to birthing.  I was so scared about birth before the classes, but I can honestly say I was almost looking forward to it afterwards!” Kerry & Dan and baby Harrison

One first time mum’s experience of homebirth:

“I initially decided to birth at home after seeing the postnatal ward at my local hospital.  I realised my husband would have to go home overnight and I would be left to be solely responsible for our precious new baby alone without him.  I also saw women walking to get breakfast and sitting in the TV room and thought I didn’t want that place to be a part of my earliest memories with my new baby.  Our decision was not based upon the birth at all.  However, I am confident I wouldn’t have had the birth I did had I gone to hospital.  We were so relaxed and dozed through most of it – between contractions of course and we just breathed deeply through them.  Our midwife arrived and I felt ready to push – I tried a few positions and within 45 mins she was born in one contraction, on the bathroom floor.  For us, it could not have been more perfect.  No hurry - we sat and adored her for 45 mins, birthed the placenta, had a bath and got back in our bed – all three of us.  We then toasted her birth with champagne and our midwife shut the door on the way out.”
