Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in life. Feeling confident about giving birth and being well supported during childbirth makes for a positive experience.
I am a doula, which means I support women and their birth partners as they prepare for birth, during birth and then during the early days with a new baby. This support can be practical, emotional, informational and physical. Doula is pronounced ‘doola’ and is an old Greek word which means female servant or caregiver. That’s exactly what I do – serve you by accompanying you on your journey to motherhood, ensuring you are cared for, listened to and well supported every step of the way.
I am passionate about women feeling confident about their bodies and confident about the birth process and becoming a mother. It’s also really important for me to see birth partners confident about their role in the birth space and their crucial role as a parent.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have by text/phone or email.
‘Just as a woman’s heart knows how and when to pump, her lungs to inhale, and her hand to pull back from fire, so she knows when and how to give birth.’
I am a member of Doula UK, the largest network of doulas in the UK, which is run voluntarily by doulas for doulas. I am also a Mentor for both Doula UK and Nurturing Birth supporting new doulas as they begin their doula journeys.
